Ivermectin is an FDA-approved antiparasitic medication first approved in 1987. It is used to treat several parasitic infections in humans, including strongyloidiasis, onchocerciasis, scabies, and certain other parasitic conditions. In the U.S., it is commercially available as 3mg oral tablets (generic Stromectol) and as a 1% topical cream (Soolantra) for rosacea. TexMed also dispenses compounded ivermectin capsules in 9mg, 12mg, 18mg, 30mg, and 45mg strengths.
Are pregnant or breastfeeding · Have severe liver disease or hepatic impairment · Weigh less than 33 lbs (15 kg) · Have a known hypersensitivity to ivermectin or any ingredient in the formulation · Are taking warfarin (dose adjustment or monitoring required) · Are under 18 years of age (TexMed policy).

Most side effects are mild and transient. Take ivermectin on an empty stomach with a full glass of water unless otherwise directed.
